    Our wines:

Chateau Juliette April is one of the oldest wineries in the Chateau Nouveau Pape. With the concerted efforts of several generations of The April family, the wines of the estate are widely recognized.

The 2015 vintage has a beautiful deep garnet red colour and is very special in colour. It is recommended to wake up the wine if you want to drink it when it is young. Historically, the 2004 vintage has been similar in the same appellation. Intense, concentrated aromas of blueberry fruit, full of spice, light papaya aromas and refreshing acidity. The wine is full of fine tannins, without any kick. After decanting, the wine slowly emits black cherry and other fruits. The aftertaste is very old and the feel changes over time.

This is a very sensual wine, recommended with red meat such as rib steak, roast duck or cheese.

    Grape variety:

    Grenache, Sierra and Muwaiard

More than 50% of the vines in the vineyard are more than 50 years old

The yield is relatively low, 35 hectoliters per hectare

    Brewing process:

The grapes are picked by hand, followed by the pelleting process, the traditional fermentation process of the Chateau Nouveau popes, using cold impregnation and pre-fermentation, and the alcohol fermentation is carried out in delicate small tanks (10 ton tanks) at controlled temperature for a minimum of 12 days. Malolactic fermentation is then aged in French oak barrels for 12 months or more. After professional filtration process and vacuum original filling, into the bottle storage stage.

    Our Terroir:

The vineyard is located on the Farguerol plateau and contains a large number of round cobblestones. Below it is calcareous clay.
